S.T.E.A.M. MakerSpace Studios

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) converge at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coasts' Youth Makerspace Studio, engaging the next generation of makers, engineers, artists, and entrepreneurs, who work side-by-side with staff, community professionals, and subject matter experts in all facets of the creative process. With the Makerspace Studio, our Club members have the opportunity to discover, assemble, problem solve, construct, test, and explore using outside of the box thinking. The Makerspace Studio is reserved for creative exploration, engineering, tinkering, inventing, and purposeful play; it inspires new passions for Club members and caters to their unique multiple intelligences.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast aims to prepare all children, especially those who need us most, to be experienced and prepared for 21st Century S.T.E.A.M. careers. This includes bringing ultramodern S.T.E.A.M. technology to some of the most underserved populations- minorities and females. We are looking for architects, engineers, video and music producers, designers, and anyone with an interest in S.T.E.A.M. to help bring the Makerspace Studio to life!

In the Makerspace Studio, we have so much for our members to learn! We offer things such as:

2021 Robotics Competition

On July 29th, our Club members participated in their very own Robotics Competition. It was amazing to see how each team interacted with each other and work together as a team, as well as be able to code and program their own robot. Everyone did a phenomenal job and we are so proud of them!
