Elements of a Scholar Athlete (ESA) Academy aims to get more young people, on more teams, for more playing time, while fostering a sense of belonging, and building life skills and self-confidence in each youth. This is a developmental league focused on developing the skills, mindset, character traits and resilience it takes to be a scholar athlete. ESA Academy helps youth to learn the balance between sportsmanship and competition.

Tee-Ball is a non-competitive program focused on fun, fitness, and fundamentals where players 5-7 are first introduced to the basics of baseball and softball. Each player is responsible for providing their own glove/mitt.
$10 for members/$20 for non-members
The Remind App is a communication platform that is used for the Director of Sports & Recreation & the Sports Coordinators reach out to parents to inform everything upcoming in ESA Academy. It is used to send reminders, schedules, upcoming sports, announcements due to weather or for cancellation of games/practices, and more.

The full schedule can be found using the link below. All tee-ball games are at 5:00 PM at the 19th Street Unit.
Games are one day per week. Both practices and games are held on the same day, and transportation to and from the Club to the game location is provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast. This takes a burden off of the shoulders of busy working parents and helps establish a routine for members.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast has 6 Club sites conveniently located from Bay St. Louis to East Biloxi, making intramural play easy and practical.
We have dedicated sports coordinators to oversee the ESA Academy program at every location. Club members participating in each sport of ESA Academy Youth Developmental Leagues have the opportunity to take advantage of life-changing Club programming plus sports leagues.
